Enjoy the journey
Heading north from Cairns to Port Douglas, enjoy the scenery of the
Captain Cook Highway over the approx. 60 minute journey.
The first 20
minutes through Cairns' northern suburbs and plantations of sugar cane,
then past the SkyRail terminal to Kuranda. Once clearing Cairns, the
next 30 minutes drive is alongside pristine deserted beaches. Marvel at
the big blue sky, and the blue water where the rainforest meets the
Coral Sea.
The last 10 minutes into Port Douglas, see more fields of sugar cane until finally entering the famous avenue of Oil Palms into Port Douglas.
